‘SAKURA EXPLOSION at YOYOGI park’
SAKURA EXPLOSION has started in Tokyo!
I was at YOYOGI park.
YOYOGI park is the big city park in HARAJUKU Tokyo.
This area was a SAMURAI residence in middle age , changed as a army ground 1909, owed US after WW2 until 1964, used Olympic village 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games, opened as a city park in 1967.
There are 600 cherry trees which is one of the most popular HANAMI ( cherry blossom viewing) spots in Tokyo.
We can’t eat and drink here due to COVID-19 this year.
It’s sad for us because we really enjoy HANAMI every year.
Anyway we have to follow the rule this year to prevent the infection.
It’s very easy to access from JR HARAJUKU station and metro MEIJI-JINGUMAE station just 2-3 minutes walk.
