Godzilla and cherry blossoms at Toho movie Studios
I went to Toho movie Studios.
Toho movie Studios is the largest movie studio in Japan.
Since its completion in 1932, many movies have been shot there.
The famous Godzilla series was shot here.
Seven Samurai
Akira Kurosawa, a director who influenced Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, also shot many of his masterpieces here.
The scene from the most popular movie Seven Samurai is depicted on the entrance wall.
It is the cherry blossom season now.
The Senkawa River is located near Toho movie Studios.
And the river is lined on both sides with beautiful cherry blossom trees.
There is also a statue of Godzilla at the entrance and many cherry trees around it.
Flower raft
I saw the beautiful falling petals on the river.
We call them as ’ flower raft’.
Why don’t you enjoy the contrast between Godzilla, the scary king of monsters, and cherry blossoms?
It takes 10 minutes walk from Seijo-Gakuenmae station of Odakyu line.
Then it takes 15 minutes from Shinjuku station to Seijo-Gakuenmae station 220yen(2.2 dollars ).
