Kokoen,Himeji castle view Japanese garden
I visited my hometown, Himeji City.
At that time, I visited Himeji Castle as well as the Kokoen Japanese Garden.
It is a Japanese garden located next to Himeji Castle.
It claims to be a Japanese garden with a borrowed view of Himeji Castle, a World Heritage Site.
History
The garden was built in 1992 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Himeji City.
It is a Japanese garden of about 10,000 square meters and is a new cultural place where cultural assets are preserved and utilized.
Prior to the construction of the garden, Himeji city dis seven rounds of excavations.
And the remains of the west mansion, samurai residences, and passageways built by Honda Tadamasa in 1618 were confirmed.
Then Himeji city reconstructed this site using the remains.
Composition
It is composed of nine large and small gardens, an approaching woodland area, and a plaza.
Within the gardens, there are Tsukiji fences, house gates, and row house gates.
In addition, there are “Kassuiken” and “Choonsai” connected by a corridor.
There is a tea ceremony house, “Soju-an,” designed and supervised by Sen Soshitsu, the 15th Iemoto of Urasenke.
The garden is a pond garden connected by ponds and streams of water.
And the main feature of the garden is that it has Himeji Castle, a World Heritage Site and national treasure, as its borrowed scenery.
Also there is a rich primeval forest around the west circle of Himeji Castle and also has a borrowed scenery.
Then these create a graceful landscape where history and nature in harmony.
Colorful autumn leaves
This time, there were beautiful maple leaves at the entrance.
So these are the earliest autumn leaves in western Japan.
If you come to Japan and visit Himeji Castle, a World Heritage Site, please come to Kokoen as well. The entrance fee is 310yen( 3.1 dollars).
You won’t regret it!
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
