Sumida Park next to Sensoji temple
I went to Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, and then walked a couple of minutes to Sumida Park.
Sumida Park is located on both sides of the Sumida River and is a place for citizens to relax and enjoy the view of the Sumida River and Tokyo Skytree.
Between Sensoji temple and Tokyo Skytree
It is sandwiched between Sensoji Temple in Asakusa and Tokyo Sky Tree, so it may not be a place for foreign tourists to visit.
However, in 2020, the Sumida River Walk was built.

It’s a bridge spanning Sumida Park on both the east and west sides of the river.
This bridge allow pedestrians and bicycles to be pushed across.
So now after visiting Sensoji Temple, visitors can enjoy the Sumida Park on the west side, cross the Sumida River Walk, and have a picnic in the Sumida Park on the east side while viewing the Tokyo Sky Tree.
The Sumida Park on the west side has riverside cafés and a beautiful view of the Sumida River and the Tokyo Sky Tree.
On this day, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and many people came to see the cherry trees planted along the river and in Sumida Park.
Sightseeing boats
Sightseeing boats come and go along the Sumida River, and visitors enjoy the relaxing and beautiful scenery.
Shiba Inu
A Shiba dog was also taking a nap with its owner.
Why don’t you come to Sumida Park and enjoy the view of the Tokyo Sky Tree and the Sumida River?
It is right outside the exit from Asakusa metro Station.
