Cherry blossoms and canola flowers festival
I went to Minami-Izu for the Cherry Blossom and Rape Blossom Festival.
Minami-Izu town at the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula is a three-hour drive from Tokyo.
This area, washed by the warm Kuroshio Current of the Pacific Ocean, is warmer than Tokyo.
The atmosphere is already spring, and the early blooming Cherry Blossom and Canola Blossom Festival is held from February 1 to March 10.
Yumigahama beach
My favorite Yumigahama beach is still empty but really beautiful!
The canola blossoms are in full bloom and cover the riverbanks as a carpet.
The early blooming Cherry blossoms tunnel is formed on the river bank, still they are only 30-40% blooms.
