Why don’t you enjoy cherry blossoms in hidden spot, Soshigaya park in Tokyo?
I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 25 countries. I’ve got the license of the certificate English guide in Japan for 8 years.
I show you hidden Japan which you have never seen and heard of!
Soshigaya Park
I went to Soshigaya Park, 5 minute walk from my house.
It’s 20 minutes walk from Odakyu line Soshigaya-Okura station and Seijo-Gakuenmae station.
These are 15-20 minutes from Shinjuku station.
This is one of the Tokyo Metropolitan Parks.
Senkawa River
The Senkawa River flows near the center of Soshigaya Park, dividing the park into east and west sections.
On the left bank of the Sengawa River are fields and a children’s park.
On the right bank, which is larger in area, there is a wetland botanical garden, tennis courts, an athletic field, and an entrance plaza that also serves as a playground and roller-skating practice area.
Cherry Blossom Lined Trees
The promenade along the Senkawa River is lined with cherry trees.
And the cherry blossom festival is always held in the spring.
But it’s canceled by Covid-19 this year.
Cherry Blossoms return from US.
Among them there is the “Satogaeri no Sakura( return home cherry blossoms),”.
It’s a sapling grown from a cherry tree given to the Washington by the mayor of Tokyo in 1902.
It grew in Potomac Park of Washington and was later donated to the Soshigaya park.
It is a symbol of friendship between Japan and the United States.
The park is as beautiful as any other cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo.
The cherry tree branches that span the Senkawa River are really beautiful !
Birds Singing
From the video, you can hear many birds are singing.
I think it is a relaxing park with a typical Japanese spring atmosphere.
Why don’t you come and enjoy Soshigaya park ?
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
