‘CAFE ENOKITEI in YOKOHAMA’
I visited YOKOHAMA to enjoy the atmosphere.
This area is close to MINATONO MIERU OKA, the Harbor view park, 5 minutes walk from it.
This cafe is on the top of the hill and the surrounding area is covered by the beautiful trees.
It’s built 1927 as a house of an American people, Japanese family bought 1970. The wife of this family was good at making cherry pie , often invited friends in the living room to enjoy them together.
The name ENOKITEI is from big ENOKI( hackberry )tree in the garden which covers the terrace.
Today’s owner is the children of this family, she changed the house as a cafe and a cake shop.
There are a terrace , the 1st floor tea room and the 2nd floor cake shop.
The atmosphere of this area is very quiet.
The whole building is a kind of an old western house , the popular menu is a ‘cherry pie ‘ still!
