Sushi for lunch
Today we went to a sushi restaurant called Midori Sushi, about a 10-minute train ride from our house.
It is just a minute walk from Umegaoka station on the Odakyu line.
One of the most popular Sushi restaurants
It is a very popular restaurant with a long queue of customers because of its fresh ingredients, high quality craftsmanship, and reasonable prices.
On holidays, it is common to wait for two hours.
We went there at 10:30 on a weekday to check it out.
Luckily enough, we were the sixth in line to get in.
Temperature check and hands clean
At the entrance, we took our temperature and sterilized our hands to prevent corona.
It was just before 11:00 when we took our seats.
Without hesitation, we ordered the lunch set, which is limited to only 50 pieces every day.
Chose the size of the rice
When you order, you can choose the amount of rice to be served: large, medium, or small.
The price is 1800 yen( 18 dollars)
The sushi rice was not too sour or too sweet, just right.
Miso soup was served first, followed by a strawberry ice cream dessert at the end.
Corona sanitary sheet
As befitting the middle of the Corona disaster, there were also paper sheets to put our masks in.
I ate a lot of gari( ginger) and it was well seasoned.
The sushi was 11 pieces on the wooden plate.
I ordered a large portion of rice, which filled me up.
At the end of the meal, I had a strawberry ice cream dessert, which had strawberry pulp in it and was very fresh.
When we left, there were a lot of people lined up at the front.
Umegaoka Station is where the main restaurant is located.
It is 13-15 minutes from Shinjuku Station on the Odakyu Line.
