I went trekking on Hahajima Island in the Ogasawara Islands.

The Ogasawara Islands are Tokyo’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There are more than 30 islands, but only two are inhabited, Chichijima and Hahajima, and only about 460 people live on Hahajima.

The atmosphere is the same when it was first discovered in the 16th century.

At that time it was called an uninhabited island.

I went to a place called Mt.Kofuji at the southern end of Hahajima island.

There are many beautiful forests and empty beaches around there, so let me introduce them to you.

First , 10 minutes from Mt.Kofuji is Minamisaki Beach.

It is right at the foot of Mt.Kofuji and you can see Mt.Kofuji and small islands.

From there, go back a little and walk for about 10 minutes to Wai Beach.

There are lion-like rocks and a beautiful island in front of it.

No one is around. I got naked and went for a swim. I felt like I was swimming in a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean.

Ten minutes away from Wai Beach is the view from the Suribachi Observatory.
You can see the Pacific Ocean from there.

Houraine beach

From there, another 10-minute walk takes you to Houraine Beach. You can see Muko Island in front of you.

It seems that there are more beaches here that appear when the tide goes out.

Endemic plants

As you walk through the forest, you come across some plants that are endemic to Ogasawara.

You won’t find these plants on the Japanese mainland.

Birds calls

You can also hear the calls of various birds in the forest.

They didn’t show up, but I enjoyed their calls a lot.

Miyukinohama beach

Before returning to Okimura village from Minamisaki , there was another beautiful beach called Miyukinohama Beach.

The previous emperor had visited here, and there was an observatory where you can do whale watching.

The water was beautiful and I wanted to swim again.

I didn’t go there, but there are other beaches on the map , Omotehama Beach, Nankin Beach, and Ishijiro Beach as well.

I think these are beautiful, unspoiled beaches that are probably empty.

How was it?
Why don’t you go trekking in the untouched nature of Hahajima?
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
