‘WISTERIA FLOWERS at KAMEIDO TENJIN shrine in Tokyo’
I visited KAMEIDO TENJIN shrine in Tokyo.
It’s founded 1661, the descendant of SUGAWARA MICHIZANE, the deity of DAZAIFU TENMANGU shrine built here .
The whole shape is replicated DAZAIFU TENMANGU which located in KYUSHU Japan.
It’s very popular for its wisteria flowers from the middle of April to early May.
The official wisteria festival is canceled due to COVID-19 this year, but nature turns as usual.
The blossoming is 70-80 %, still many people are enjoying its beauty.
We can see Tokyo Skytree from the precinct of this shrine, the good contrast of the old and new .
There are many turtles in the pond , very funny.
We can hear birds are singing all the time here .
It takes 15 minutes by train from Tokyo station to KAMEIDO station , then 10 minutes walk.
If you want to feel the nature, old and new culture, check out here!
You will experiment the charm of Tokyo!!
