Okinawa
I drove around the southern part of Okinawa prefecture.
I often came across nice local restaurants .
It’s a joy of traveling.
Aldo Okinawa is a beautiful place with Shinto sanctuaries everywhere.
In this area, there is the highest sacred place in Okinawa, o
But that is not the only thing.
There are also signs that indicate the sacred area in obscure places, so we stopped at those as well.
Chinen Cape
This is a park jutting out into the Pacific Ocean that can be seen when entering from the main road.
The cape is on high ground with a coral reef at its foot.
Beyond the reef, the cobalt blue Pacific Ocean can be seen for more than 180 degrees.
Uganju, Haijinju
It is said to be the birthplace of rice cultivation.
Although it is near abroad, fresh water flows vigorously out of the ground.
Fresh water must have been precious in Okinawa, where there are no large rivers.
Kamiyamanutun
If you find this sign on the side of the road and go inside, you will find only a space surrounded by thickly growing trees.
There is nothing artificial.
There is just the sound of birdsongs and the rustling of leaves.
The ancient people must have felt something special and made this place a sacred place.
How about it ?
