Kurihama Hananokuni( flower park)
I visited Kurihama Hananokuni in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, next to Tokyo.
The park has colorful flower gardens, sports facilities, and restaurants open for business.
Admission to the park is free.
After the return of land that used to house warehouses for the U.S. Army in Japan.
Then Yokosuka City developed the area as “Kurihama Ryokuchi” (Kurihama Green Space).
The park has become a major tourist attraction in the Kurihama area, attracting more than 500,000 visitors a year.
The “Flower Bus,” shaped like a locomotive, makes it easy to get around.
On this day, the cosmos were in bloom, and it was beautiful.
It’s said there 1 million cosmoses here!
Godzilla
The statue of Godzilla is also famous and would be perfect for a picnic on a fine day.
