Cafe in the nature Sawanoien garden

I went to Sawanoien garden.
Sawanoien is a garden facility opened by the Ozawa Sake Brewery.
There is a Japanese garden-style planting along the banks of the Tama River.
Inside the garden, there are Ozawa Sake Brewery’s sake brewery factory.
Also there is a sake tasting room, restaurants , a snack bar,shops and open terrace.
Sake tasting costs 500 yen ( 5 dollars) a glass.
History

Ozawa Sake Brewery was founded 1702, one of the 9 remaining sake breweries in Tokyo.
It is known for its brand name “Sawanoi,” named after the area ‘Sawanoi’ where it is located.

At the Sake brewery factory, you can join the free sightseeing tour 11:00, 13:00, 14:00 takes 30 minutes.


15 people can join the tour.
If it is available you can join the last minute.
Sawanoien garden

This Sawanoien garden was created in 1967.
This terrace overlooks the Tama River and is surrounded by trees, creating a refreshing and open atmosphere.
Suspension e bridge

There is a suspension bridge surrounded by trees.
And after crossing the bridge, you will find “Kansanji Temple” where you can strike a bell.

And “Kushi Kanzashi Museum” the Japanese traditional hairpin museum.

You can enjoy a completely different atmosphere even though you are in Tokyo.
It takes 5 minutes walk from JR Sawai station.
Why don’t you come and visit Sawanoi-en?
You will find another Tokyo for sure!!
